Kalahari Biltong and Bison Chili Recipe

What is more satisfying than a hearty bowl of chili on a brisk Autumn day?  Chili with biltong of course. Try this amazing chili recipe with Kalahari Biltong and get ready to take winter head-on!

Chili Just Got More Exciting


  • Kalahari Biltong — your favorite flavor
  • 1 pound grass-fed ground bison
  • 1 large sweet potato cut into 1/2″ cubes
  • 1 onion – chopped
    2 (14ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste


  1. Cook onion, garlic, and sweet potatoes in a large saucepan until browned
  2. Add grass-fed ground bison and brown, about 5-7 minutes
  3. Add spices, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, bay leaves, and broth
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for a half hour to an hour to meld flavors
  5. Top with your favorite flavor of Biltong
