The Classic BLT needs no introduction, but we would be remiss if we didn’t share our version with you! Substitute bacon with our Kalahari Biltong or Kalahari Crisps for a leaner, cleaner and more delicious treat.

Biltong or Crisps are an excellent substitute for bacon, as they have more protein, way less unhealthy fat and no sugar whatsoever. Feel confident that you’re getting a great healthy sandwich that doesn’t compromise taste. Open up a bag of Biltong or Crisps and make this classic sandwich!

Ingredients

  • Kalahari Biltong or Kalahari Crisps 
  • Lettuce of your choice (we suggest a spring mix)
  • Sliced tomato
  • Your favorite sandwich bread (we love a country wheat)
  • Mayo (homemade is amazing!)

Steps

  1. Toast your bread. Pro-tip, put mayo on the outside of the bread and toast in a skillet for extra-delicious crispy bread. 
  2. Spread your mayo on the toasted bread and top with the rest of the ingredients
  3. Enjoy!
